So How's the Day Treatin', My Little Droogies?
Okay, so dead and not dead. I haven't done much during the summer. Very very little in fact (which is more my fault than anything). But one thing I have gotten more interested in is reading. ......reading a looooot of comics. Which is a good thing or bad thing, I don't know. On the con side, It's eaten up a lot of my time and a majority of my procrastination is due to this. On the pro side, it seems that my art has taken a new direction. Although, again, can swing either way, but any change is good, amiright or amiright? Also my future career choices are swing more towards illustrations (despite the fact that I'm a graphic designer?) and working with more traditional medias. Now I'm not saying I want to be an artist in the traditional sense (with the whole starving, depression, heroin chic look), but I'd like to do works for conceptual, character design, storyboarding, and with the current influences of comics, drawing them (failing that penciling or coloring, but I suck at shading........). I still wouldn't mind doing stuff with CG, but frankly, I have a feeling if I make a career out of that, I'll go blind before I'm 40.
Anyways, things I need to work on:
HTML (still haven't learned....I'm a failure)
Flash
Go through that Maya book
Learn to follow through on a drawing
Save buildings from burning orphans
Waait, one of them seems off. I'm sure I'll figure it out before it's too late.
Anyways, to the meat of my post.
HAY GUYS, ANYONE GOING DOWN TO TECH OR CLOSE TO THAT AREA AROUND THE LAST WEEKEND OF THIS MONTH (or sometime before August 1st)
cause sindy needs a ride down so I can waaaark. If anyone knows anything,(be it you or a friend or an acquaintance going down) please please please contact me.
and david pointed out to me that, yes, I do have a car now. but I'd rather not chance the fact the car may (hope to god not anyways) crap out on the drive there and I end up stuck on a random stretch of 81 with no reception and no rescue in sight.
