when my already- ydisabled mom ended up breaking her upper leg last summer, I freaked. Seeing her in the hospital weeping with pain (which is really rare with her 'cuz she KNOWS real pain) ate through my heart in a way i never expected it could. To this day, I get choked up when I think about it.

But she ended up ok, even if it took quite a while to be ok again.
