See, the problem with all that is Quinlan didn't quite know that she was what she was at this point. I don't even think I'd told Quinlan that she'd been over at my house yet at that point.
You being there would have probably just made things *less* awkward, not more. John and I would have each had someone to talk to, and you and I would probably have continued yelling at John for what was at the time his surprising display of callousness.
It wasn't awkward so much because of her, it was awkward because it was three AM, John and I weren't on the best terms at that point, and we were both genuinely upset for ironically similar reasons (though he had the problem about worrying that she was pregnant with his child which I obviously didn't.)
Only way it would have gotten really bad is if he'd have pissed me off enough for me to tell him what happened two days ago, and then we'd have put two and two together and Ashley'd have walked out of the doctor's office onto the set of As The World Turns.
I'm actually probably going to make a post on my LJ telling the entire story from my perspective, since a:) I never update my LJ, b:) writing the thing down as you have admitted makes me realize what a dumbfuck I was, and c:) It'll hopefully be entertaining.
I knew at that time she was a bitch since just a few days before at seaside she started getting all pissy at me out of nowhere when john went to the bathroom. I just didn't know how much of a bitch she was.
