Well I guess Gaithright is the sexual predator right? And has been preying on girls at the school for years it seems.

I try not to cuss...

But I will happily kick that bastard's ass.

What did Samuel Jackson say in Pulp Fiction?

The AK-47...."when every mutha...got to die"

Yea. Ol boy has to die.

Props to Uhura for kickin' his ass (though he needs another)

And yeay to Spock for standing up for her- and inadvertently, the other women.

It is troubling that even in our "modern" military women are still raped by the superiors and nothing happens. There was recently a story that indicated that our federal government has a contract in which a woman cannot sue if she is raped while overseas if she is working with a government contractor.

And several of our lawmakers voted to uphold such a travesty.

Ugh. Now I am pissed all over again.

You've managed to evoke an emotional response...I need a drink...

Samuel... the kind of cussing!!! Love him! Love him!

There was recently a story that indicated that our federal government has a contract in which a woman cannot sue if she is raped while overseas if she is working with a government contractor.

I remember this story well. Even here in sexist-nation, it received a great deal of attention.

Ugh. Now I am pissed all over again.

You've managed to evoke an emotional response...I need a drink...

Thankfully, these characters are presenting themselves honestly to you and it's such a relief.

It was important to have Uhura and Spock share this "real world" outer experience while simultaneously dealing with their fantasy/inner worlds. It was equally important to explore how they would deal with it both separately and together.

Let's hope Gathright won't hurt them too much.

Not necessarily lie per say...but they have been known to resort to subterfuge.

Sometimes they speak literally, the other times, figuratively. And you have to learn to read between the lines...

Vulcans. Tricky creatures they are.

Hence Spock's warning. Watch your back.

This Spock evolved slightly differently than I expected. It is always such a joy for a writer to work with a character who prefers to be dynamic even if it means getting a little "dirty."

Thank you sharing this journey with Uhura and Spock.

What episode features Uhura in command gold? She was/is gorgeous no matter what!
