Here's a poem I just wrote. I'm thinking of submitting it to a contest where I can win a significant scholarship, so any contructive criticism is not only welcome, but encouraged. This part need work:
"...And once you asked the night
To be too dark."
I was referencing a poem he wrote that ends with "Let the night be so dark that I cannot see into the future. Let what will be, be."
I think that shows through, but the way I wrote it just sounds choppy.
Any suggestions?

I love everything about your poem, i think it will win, except for the last word in that line, i dont know why...hmm

wend means "to weave through"
its not a common word but i like it because it has the "w" i was looking for
im willing to change it though, and ideas?
