The modern French and Germans have shown a much better grasp of historical precedence than most of the US population, especially our leaders.

Unless - Bush is going to give Georgia to Russia, in exchange for us attacking Iran.

Or unless Bush has a plan for stopping Global Warming - Nuke-u-lar Winter.

Hell, I need a drink.

Bush can't be "giving" Georgia to Russia. McCain is already spinning this as "if we'd just let them into NATO"...

Don't even bring up Iran. Please. Just... don't. If you say it three times while looking in the mirror in the dark, we'll be _completely screwed_.

I need a drink too. Vodka and... no, wait... ugh.

France and Germany were against it

That's because they're a bunch of cheese eating surrender monkeys!

If the alternative is land war against Russia...

... pass the cheese.

How much of a surge would we need to invade Russia?

I imagine it would involve everyone reading this getting conscripted.

Ummm... yeah. And historical precedent says, that might not be enough. At the end of the day, that's simply a lot of land to try and hold. China might have enough sheer manpower to do it; I don't think we do.

Although, the older I get, the more territory I tend to occupy. Har har.
