Name: Lelouch vi Britannia
Series: Code Geass
Universe: OU
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Powers & Abilities: Lelouch only has one special ability and that is geass. His geass in particular gives him complete control over people’s will: he can make them do whatever he says. This ability only works once on a person, however, so he has to use it wisely. The geass is in both of his eyes now and wears contacts since he cannot control it. Lulu is also a practiced liar and strategist. Not many have actually been able to see past his lies and façade. His intellect is at genius level, enabling him to do real-time tactics and even do very complicated calculations within mere seconds. Lelouch has no real physical abilities, but he is rather proficient at using guns and Knighmares.

Point of canon to be drawn from: Turn 21 (from the second season)

Personality:
Lelouch has many many sides to his personality. Partially because he is a liar down to his very core. Everything about him is fake. He doesn’t allow for anyone to really see his true face.

The first is the school boy, Lelouch Lamperouge. This particular facet of Lulu is the life he lived before geass and during the time that which his memories were not quite his own. As a student of Ashford Academy, Lelouch is a seemingly lazy student. Many times he will go off and gamble (through playing chess) instead of attending classes. In fact, he skips a lot of classes just in general. He is on the Student Council and is quite active within it. He is friendly to some, but close to no one. No one really knows of his past and he has no intention of telling anyone about it. Lulu is content to help and aid Milly on her various escapades with school functions, but he tends to stick in the shadows. It appears he would rather help run it than be in the spotlight. He doesn’t seem to care too much about politics or have his own opinion about anything. Lulu doesn’t seem to have much of a fire or compassion about anything at all. He is also a protective and caring older brother (doesn’t matter if it is Rolo or Nunally).

Yet there are things that infuriate him. He must be organized and if anything is out of place, he must fix it. Lelouch is also capable of many different things such as cooking, sewing, and even basic chemistry. He has plans and back up plans while directing school events, going so far as to give them color codes too. Lelouch also dislikes a lot of Milly’s little events, often exasperated during participation. He is easily flustered and riled if his strings are pulled just right. He might be called a good housewife because he certainly acts like one from time to time: cutting hair, laundry, cleaning, and even keeping a book about expenses.

Which is the complete opposite of Zero, the other mask that Lelouch wears. Zero is a very passionate being and very grandiose. A lot of what Zero does must be big and dramatic. He actually cares about protecting the weak and being just. Zero makes outrageous claims and is overall a very charismatic leader for the Black Knights and their fight to liberate Japan. Lulu as Zero is on the front lines, in front of the cameras, and even giving direction to everyone. He is a symbol, more than just a man in a mask, while he is Zero. No one is a pawn. No one is expendable. Everyone is needed. Zero will, however, do whatever he deems necessary to get the final result: liberation of Japan. Even if this means discretely sacrificing lives or twisting events in his favor… Even if it means lying to everyone else. Though he sort of answers to no one, opting to keep everyone in his organization in the dark. However, he does not hog all the power to himself. He is a smart person who puts other people with particular strengths in charge of their respective facet.

Yet then there is Lelouch vi Britannia, the 99th emperor of the Holy Britannia Empire. Lelouch, at this point, uses his geass to the full extend. He is a heartless dictator, commanding everyone through the use of his geass. Lelouch is tyrannical, not caring who lives and who lives. People are just pawns on a chessboard in order for him to obtain power. Lelouch is a power thirsty person and desires to conqueror the world. This is his true intention, though he does do random acts that cause confusion at first for the Black Knights and the rest of the world. He comes off as being generous, disbanding the nobles and even giving Japan liberation. However Lulu ignores and pretends the people that were his friends are nothing to him, looking the other way as if he doesn’t know them. He does the things that he always vowed not to do (such as using his geass on Nunally and actually fighting against her) and nothing his below him.

Lelouch, at the heart of everything, is an angry boy. He is angry at his father for the death of his mother. He is angry at his mother for being deceptive. Lulu is angry that Britannia destroyed Japan. Lelouch is full of anger, vengeance, and hurt. He is really a loving person and guilt for what all he has done weighs heavy on his shoulders. Lelouch actually does have issues putting people he cares about in harms way. Lulu says in the series he will fight evil with evil and becomes that necessary evil. The only person on his mind is his sister, Nunally. However, this changes later in the series. He realizes that he cannot just do this for the world that Nunally wanted, but that he must do so because everyone in the world deserves peace. Lulu does not believe that it cannot be obtained without bloodshed. However, he believes that if one person, one name, becomes the evil that everyone wants to be rid of, peace can really be obtained. It’s easier to remember one man instead of a system. Lelouch looks to the future and everything he does, therefore, is for the future.

Appearance:
Lulu’s most noticeable feature would be the striking violet irises of his eyes. They are a very deep purple, only changing color for his geass. Once his geass affects one or both of his eyes, they are a magenta color, a pink geass sigil resting within. He wears contacts though, so that he doesn’t accidently give an order. His hair is a deep brown, almost black color, and bears a rather messy appearance. Lelouch is awfully scrawny too, despite the fact that he cannot do any physical activity. He also has fair complexion.

History:
(Long read ahead…)

Lelouch is the 11th prince of the Holy Britannian Empire, born to Charles di Britannia and Marianne. He was seventeenth heir to the throne. However, his mother was assassinated. His sister was crippled and her eyesight gone due to the trauma. He addressed his father on the issue, and not receiving the answers that he would like, both he and Nunally were shipped off to Japan. While living there, Lulu befriends the Prime Minister’s son, Kururugi Suzaku. The two boys actually do not get a long at all at first, but eventually come around. Suzaku becomes Lelouch’s first (and perhaps last) friend. Their time there was short-lived. Britannia came and overtook Japan. Lelouch swore that he would someday crush Britannia for doing something such as this.

Seven years later, Lelouch is not going by his actual name. He and Nunally have taken on the “Lamperouge” surname and live at the club house of Ashford Academy in Area Eleven (formerly known as Japan). He does this with the permission of the Ashford family (who run the school). No one is aware of their true identities at the school. Lelouch spent his time gambling through using chess. However, on one day that he decides to do this is where it all changes. He gets caught up in the middle of a terrorist attack and the Britannian military. In the ghetto region, Lelouch is reunited with Suzaku, who became an Honorary Britannian and is also in the military. The stolen bit of equipment actually reveals a girl. Suzaku is shot protecting Lelouch and the prince escapes with the girl in tow. Yet he manages to get caught on the way out. When it looks like there is no possible way out of this one, the girl takes a bullet for Lelouch and also grants him the power of geass.

From there on, Lulu decides that he will use this power to crush and defeat Britannia. He manages to get out of the area all right, also aiding the resistance and killing his brother, Clovis. Only a few days later, at the execution of Suzaku (who had been tried as the culprit instead), Lelouch appears as Zero for the first time. He does manage to free his friend, though Suzaku goes back anyway. After this, it is only a short time before Lelouch, as Zero, establishes the Black Knights, not as terrorists, but as an actual military. Battle after battle rages on and Lelouch gains more and more people to his cause. One is the witch who gave him his power, C.C.
Lelouch’s sister, Euphemia becomes the Sub Viceroy of the area and declares a portion to be recognized as a legitimate Japan. Lelouch goes on to agree to this (as an incident on an island revealed his identity to Euphemia and they all met and caught up at the Academy briefly) and possibly disband the Black Knights at the opening. However, his geass suddenly becomes uncontrollable. He accidentally orders Euphie to kill all the Japanese. Faced with a decision, Lelouch uses this to his own benefit despite his horror. He also has to kill Euphemia, which only enrages Suzaku.
Essentially, after a long list of battles, the final battle comes around. Yet Nunally is kidnapped and forces Lulu to leave everyone behind to fend for themselves. Suzaku and Kallen follow, each with their own agenda. At the island, Suzaku shoots Lelouch and his identity is revealed. Suzaku ends up selling Lulu out to the emperor for a more prestigious position. The Black Rebellion also fails due to Lelouch’s absence.

A year later, Lelouch has no recollection of these events. His father had rewritten his memories and is using him as bait for C.C. Rolo has replaced Nunally, but is also an assassin sent by the order to kill Lelouch if his memories return. Long story short, Lelouch does gain his memories due to C.C. and even gets Rolo on his side. He rescues his comrades from the prior rebellion and even reestablishes the United States of Japan. He is once again Zero and manages to keep the fact that he has regained his memories a secret from everyone. Even Suzaku. Yet… He and Suzaku meet and the first prince of Britannia finds out Lelouch’s identity. After the destruction of the Tokyo settlement and the possible death of Nunally, Lelouch really does loose it. Scheziel, the prince, reveals who Lelouch is to all of the Black Knights soon after Lelouch destroys every geass user and the order. Because of that, everyone turns against Lelouch, except for Rolo who ends up saving his life.

Lelouch goes on to face his father inside the World of C. After that conflict with Charles and Marianne, he destroys everything that the emperor had hoped to accomplish in order to keep time moving onward. He then establishes himself as the 99th emperor in Britannia a month later…

(Yes… I know I am missing fine details… But trying to keep it somewhat spoiler free but accurate at the same time… Also don’t want to tire people’s eyes out. SO SORRY!)
