i just can't help but say that you have really good taste! haha.
i had actually never even heard of this junya watanabe until you posted about it! absolutely amazing. i went ahead and looked into his spring & fall 2008 collections. i really loved the head pieces in fall, and i was actually a bit suprised by the spring considering what i've seen already but i thought the designs were pretty cute haha.

and alexander mcqueen is a freak as always hahaha.

have you heard of gareth pugh? if you haven't, he's an english designer that i personally really love and i think you might like because you're obviously a fan of the more abstract. his fall 2008 is like..wizard of oz meets predator hahaha, no joke, but i really love it. he's done some pretty wild stuff before.

and while long comment is long, you'll have to keep all of us posted on your designing endeavors!

yesss i have seen gareth pugh. I sort of like him and sort of don't.
I was pretty taken aback, i saw a 2008 s/s runway. and it was very much like you said, very sci-fi.
Did you see the Karl Lagerfeld?? it was great <3

actually i haven't really kept up with him a whole lot but i mean, its karl lagerfeld, haha, i'm rarely dissapointing.

and i just remembered seeing a video for a show this year, and i don't even remember who it was by and it's driving me crazy because i thought it was soooo awesome! there was like a big coat a girl was wearing at the beginning and it literally had "NO" like, bevelled out of the cloth, which, i have no IDEA how someone can even do that. but the rest of it sort've had the same thing going on and i thought it was really awesome hahaha. and it was set to vitalics 'no fun' no less.

I agree, that has to be one of the best Alexander McQueen shows!

I wasn't big on that Junya Watanabe collection, though, allthough it has a few really amazing pieces. It's a matter of taste more than anything, I like military but I really, really hate that poo coloured green. That Christian Dior show was amazing too, though not my favourite!

Yeah, that dior show was a good one, but I love couture from i thiiink 2007 f/w? the very very long runway show with those wild accordion skirts? I'll have to find a picture and post it as a comment or something.
You know, a lot of people I've shown pictures of that watanabe show are pretty unimpressed with it, i think that colour is a very un-favourite colour for a lot of people. In fact, I don't really like that colour either, but imagine those pieces in a very stark white with splashes of that colour, it would look very amazing! wouldn't it?

oh yeah! i remember that show. that was really good. but don't get me started on dior shows. oh and the last galliano show i really enjoyed, maybe more for concept than clothes, if i'm not wrong was spring 2006! the one with people of all shapes and sizes. that was pretty amazing.

yes, i agree! it has a lot of pretty amazing pieces, but that colour just becomes a turn off in most of them.
