recently, driving through eastern kentucky, i went into a kroger with my girlfriend. that place is really scary when you're used to grocery stores farther north. and we got plenty of stares from a bunch of old women who were angrily shopping. i don't ever want to go in a kroger again.

lol. The quality of any random kroger store is a crap-shoot. The one I used to work at is really nice and clean and the people are friendly. The one over here near campus is kinda dirty, the people are rude, and the vegetables are usually somewhat rotten.

I'd still rather shop there than wal-mart though.

but yeah, everything beats wal-mart.

i'm lucky enough to have places like dave's marketplace, belmont market, the alternative food co-op, etc. around here.. i have been spoiled.

Heheh, we've got some of that in Lexi. Good Foods Co-op, Wild Oats, and some other stuff. Usually hard to find though.
