Lesley. please do me this favor. instead of giving to the red cross, give the money you could have given directly to a family in the DC Armory. Tehre are 400 families from NOLA living there. I'm putting together toys and food to directly hand to people.
most of the money you donate to charities doesnt ever get to the people who need help. handing it to them guarantess they have things they need.
also, if you have an old cd player or burned music it would be nice to get them music.
