I've e-mailed her, and haven't heard yet, but I know she lives far enough from the area that was targeted today that she should be okay. I'll post here when I hear from her.
I've also e-mailed my old boss, and a handful of my friends there that I haven't heard from yet.
If they were flying at 7:45am, they would have been fine. The first explosion happened about 8:50am, so they will have been in the air at the time. Flights should have been operating normally before then, since I'm sure no one suspected anything.
Where were they headed? I can check the actual departure and arrival time of their flight this morning.
I can't check Eurostar departure/arrivals, just airline info. However, if their train was scheduled to leave at 7:45am, they'd be fine. By 8:50am they'd already be in the tunnel and well on their way to Brussels.
Eurostar still leaves out of Waterloo, so that will also put them out of the way of the attacks this morning. They happened further east (in the City), and north (Kings Cross area).
Thank you so much for letting me know. Had I read the news first, I would have been panicking about all of you until I checked LJ. At least this way I already knew you were okay.
Hey! THis is your most recent public post so I am just gonna drop this in here. Awesome meeting you and you can totally stay. So, ADDED, cause you are frakking funny! Feel free to add back
