Parking update...

Glad to hear that has been worked out! It is surprising how old fashioned the DMV in California can be. The DOL (department of licencing, as they call it) in Seattle was a bit more laid back. They even let me keep my old California plates!

I think Pasadena was being fussy because it could be. They can earn more money from parking tickets than they can for permits.

California hasn't been too hot yet - mid 80s so far.

Some days you just need pie. Tuesday was one of those days.

Pasadena didn't introduce the overnight parking ban until the 1950s, so I don't think it's a morality law. I think it's more to facilitate street cleaning, and to keep the streets clear for the garbage and recycling trucks. Plus, I'm sure it's a great source of income for the city, both in tickets and in permit fees!

Well, thank you so much for lunch! It's great to see you again (and to be back!).

We should do it again some time!

Glad you enjoyed the concert, too. How did those boots work out for you?
