Your post just kinda reminds me of (*hugs*) a movie I watched recently. Final Fantasy VII : Advent Children. The main guy has lost everything he had once before, so he's so scared of losing everything again, that he gains nothing to lose. He has a few friends, but tries to avoid them, and they call him every day. He listens to their messages left on his cell phone, but never calls back. At one point, the girl who has felt strongly for him for a while finally is able to talk to him face to face and says, "Why am I losing to a memory?" I guess you'd have to watch it. It kinda...hits you. You know? ^_^ This probably has absolutely nothing to do with what you're feeling now
