My blog has been neglected. Mainly because I've got nothing to blog about, what with being unemployed and broke, but tv is still a thing for me. Normally, I'd start with Sunday, but based on my viewing, Monday and Tuesday look to be big tv watching for me so I'm going to start with those days.
Here we go.
Monday:
Returning
- Dancing with the Stars
I don't even know who's dancing yet. I suppose I should go look that up.
- Castle
I was watching a NerdHQ video on YouTube with Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk and Alan made a comment about how Castle is on its last year but it was kind of glossed over. I don't know if that means he was joking and everyone knew it or if he let something slip. If this is Castle's last season, that's fine. I like the show, but having them get married seems like a fitting conclusion not a continuation.
- Big Bang Theory
It switches to Thursday sometime in October. Now that Penny and Leonard are engaged, will we FINALLY find out what her last name is?
- NCIS: LA
I say this every year, but I don't know why I still watch this show. Maybe this will be the year I give it up.
- The Blacklist
Will Liz every figure out that Red is her bio dad? Are they going to hook her up with that other agent dude (whose name I can't remember)?
New
- Scorpion
A computer genius and his equally brilliant friends investigate high-tech crimes.
- Gotham
I like an origin story as much as the next person so yeah. I heard they made up a whole new character for this show, which I’m sure pisses off the folks who care about that sort of thing.
Tuesday
Returning
- Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
It'll be interesting to see what happens now that SHIELD isn't recognized by the government anymore and now that Coulson is the Director now.
- NCIS
Always will love the original.
- Person of Interest
When we last saw the show, our team had been split up because of Decima. What's happened to them since then?
New
- Forever
Loosely based (and I do mean LOOSELY) on Peter Hamill's book about a guy who can't die and has lived for over 200 years. I saw the pilot and I'll give it at least a few more episodes before I decide whether I stick with it.
- NCIS: New Orleans
The backdoor pilot was okay. I like Scott Bakula and Lucas Black so I'll probably stick with it.
- Flash
I like Arrow and I enjoyed when Barry Allen showed up in Starling City. However, I do have some reservations about whether or not this actor has the chops to pull off being the lead.
Wednesday
Returning
- Criminal Minds
I wonder who they're bringing in to replace Blake.
- Arrow
So Oliver wasn't on THE Island the whole 5 years, but he was on AN island.
New
- Red Band Society
The pilot was decent enough to make me want to see more. It's based on a Catalan tv show.
- Stalker
The Threat Assessment Unit of the LAPD investigates stalking incidents. I'm going to check it out but it seems like such a small window of crime to investigate.
Thursday
Returning
- Elementary
More Holmes and Watson!!
- Bones
I swear, if they don't keep Booth in prison for more than 1 episode, I will stop watching. However, let's not keep him there too long.
New
- How To Get Away With Murder
A law professor and four of her best students are drawn into a real-life murder conspiracy. We'll see how long I last with this one. I generally don't like law dramas (which I why I gave up on Murder In The First after 4 episodes).
Friday
Returning
- Last Man Standing
The only other comedy on my list.
- Hawaii 5-0
It's gotten a little too "Rah Rah AMERICA!" for my tastes. They're supposed to be a task force that solves crimes in Hawaii, not a military team that goes to other countries.
New
- Constantine
I saw the pilot and wasn't blown away by it. However, I read that the main female lead has left the show so now they're going in a bit of a different direction. I'll give it the 3 episode treatment to see.
Sunday
Returning
- Resurrection
When we last left, the show was ending right as the military moves in to corral all the Returnees. From the trailer for the new season, it looks as if they're bringing back some people who weren't in the book.
- CSI
Original recipe is always the best.
New
None. I think there are a couple of new shows premiering (Utopia, Madam Secretary) but I'm not interested.
