The power of Christ compels me to update my livejournal. I really wonder if anyone gets my referrences to music and movies and stuff. That last one was Exorcist. I wanted to change my name on myspace.com to I Want to Know What Love Is, like the Foreigner song, because it's an awesome, but I'd sound emo and lame if people didn't get the Foreigner ( Read more... )

I dunno, I always felt that the Dead were overrated, plagued by the cult-like following of a generation of star-lost hipsters that automatically adored any sound that spewed from the amplifiers. Their art could not grow if they did not make a few mistakes.

That said, Touch of Grey is still an awesome song.

*shrugs* Musically, I don't think very many bands are talented, or even try to create a complex and interesting piece of music. (More so today than with GD and their contemporaries) Mostly I like pieces due to their ear-candy quality. That being said, I still have a lot of music to explore and discover. (A few hundred years worth.)

Friend of the devil is a friend of mine, if i get home before daylight, i just might get some sleep tonight... Ran into the devil, babe, he loaned me twenty bills. I spent the night in utah in a cave up in the hills....i'm gonna end up quoting the whole song, but <3 grateful dead too :)
