A poem and Flaming June by Lord Frederic Leighton

Jun 11, 2006 20:43

I awake ascended

I awake with fear of knowing

I’ve ascended from this place

Believe myself of wanting

A form of unsteady grace

And I call forward

To you with weeping

Gasping, chocking on your care

Find I’m barely breathing

Succumbing to your version of fair
