inside the blogger's studio.

In reality, this journal entry is just the propagation of yet another mundane meme plucked from my friends list, for better or for worse. All questions are asked by gomer43, but for the sake of my own amusement, we're going to pretend it's really James Lipton.

Also, forgive me the name Inside the Blogger's Studio.

Haha, I don't remember any! All the funny stories I could tell, you'd have to be here for. It's in the way you tell them, you understand.

Really, there's nothing more that happens at work than what happens between a group of friends when they're all being goofy with each other. I can just write the stories better, I guess?

I just remember LJ and KB posts regarding ridiculous customers and whatnot. The former retail worker in me was hoping you had a repository of those. ;)

i like number one the best. i think when i fell in love with andy i fell in love with his music first. or thats what drew me to him. i listened to horrible music before i dated andy(still do, i just know that its horrible now. hey, everyones gotta dance sometime right? haha.). music also brought me a pretty cool group of friends who helped me figure out who i am. its weird how that all fell apart... im glad you and stephanie are still together through that all though.

anyways, i was just reflecting, going through my photobucket and what not. i miss those times.

the rest of this entry made me "giggle".

Music definately changed everything. Some of my strongest friendships have formed over a mutual appreciation of music.

I look at it this way: listening to that album on that one day was like a pebble being thrown into a pond. When the effects rippled outward, I changed how I dressed, I gained an entirely different group of friends, I joined a band, I got attention from girls; I started tapping all this untapped potential in me for everything. I would be in a completely and totally different place right now if it wasn't for music, and I don't think that place would be as good as the place I'm in now.

By the way, this Sufjan guy... I saw that he won some thing on NPR's "All Songs Considered" annual top 10 and I checked out the song that goes "All things go, all things go" and I really loved it, and I wanna know... which album is best?

Is it gonna be like the Pixies and I'll love this one poppy song and then the others will be too harsh??? I need to know!!!

To tell you the truth, I'm not really super-familiar with his material. I've listened to Michigan all the way through once or twice, and probably the same amount with Illinois. There's an album called Seven Swans in between those that I haven't heard yet.

If I had to suggest one from my limited exposure though, it'd definately have to be Illinois, despite the fact that it doesn't carry my state's namesake. Michigan is kinda boring, since all the songs are really slow and evenly paced. Illinois has more up-tempo songs, but nothing even remotely touching "hard". It's a more entertaining listen as a whole.
