Crashing in 10.3.9

Hi - I am rebuilding after a hard drive crash and downloaded the newest version of Xjournal as the version I was using was lost - When I try and open the application, it crashes immediately on me. I'm on 10.3.9 (Panther) - Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this a bug? I tried the slightly older versions that are out on the web but none of
