Two Boston University students are dead after a fire engulfed their Fenway apartment building over the weekend.  The cause of the fire is from lit candles that somehow ignited drapes or other materials the flames were close to.

Gov. Deval Patrick (D-MA) made the news today for his spending habits with taxpayer money.  He reportedly spent $10,000 on drapes for and an additional $17,000 or so remodeling the rest of his Beacon Hill office, including a desk, some chairs, and other furnishings.  In addition, he began a lease on a $46,000 Cadillac and hired a $72,000 a year ( Read more... )

An 18-year old Bosnian man opened fire at a Salt Lake City mall yesterday, killing 5 with a shotgun and had a backpack of shells to spare.  If not for an off-duty cop, Ken Hammond, more could have died.

A Belgian woman was mauled to death by cheetahs after-hours at a zoo, where she entered the cage with keys she somehow found on the premises.
