Trust me, it's like letting someone cut your head open with a rusty saw and having them take a nice, steaming dump on the fantasy loving portion of your brain.
Trust me, the cover art is like a Da Vinci painting next to the actual animation art. It's also mixed 2D animation with 3D (think 1995 level 3D) animation for the dragons. It's painfully awful.
I think about that every time I read the books. What it would have been like to be the guy who was Sturm. And was that noble stand on the rampart, and subsequent death, just the result of a bad roll?
I actually really love the new D&D. It did take me a while to get my head around it, but it really makes playing more fun for all classes. And there are lots of classes, and races. Lots of options. However it isn't without faults

It takes really talent to such the character out of Raistlin and Sturm, but they managed it.
