Starbucks VIA
So, about a week or so ago, Starbucks had its nationwide release of VIA, their so-good-you'd-swear-it-wasn't-instant instant coffee. Two varieties currently exist for your sampling: Colombia and Italian Roast; the former being of Medium intensity and the latter representing Extra Bold. Fast-forward to the Year of Our Lord two-thousand and twelve, where Starbucks has introduced Via incarnations of Christmas Blend, Tribute Blend, House Blend, Breakfast Blend, French Roast, Veranda Blend (of their recently introduced Blonde Roast line-up), Iced Coffee Blend (in two varieties: lightly sweetened with Cane Sugar or lightly sweetened with Caramel), and flavored coffee (Vanilla, Mocha, Caramel and Cinnamon, although I believe Cinnamon has been discontinued and I still don't know what the core coffee in the flavored coffee is).
So, in short, my prediction that they'd make more varieties if Via proved to be a success held water. I'm flippin' Nostradamus over here.
