I need to get out of Putnam, Connecticut. Now.
I don't think of it as running away ... I think of it as running into something else. Something better.

I know this is what I always write about, but I can't get over how much I despise this town.

Putnam is boring as hell, but it does grow on you. You will leave for a while and then you will find out you miss...the Woodstock Fair, Deary Brothers, the Putnam fireworks, Wal*Mart...and then you'll be glad you are where you are again in a few moments.

I went to school in Michigan for two years, and I missed Putnam. What I really missed was the community activities, the beautiful area, everyone knowing everyone else there, some roots. I got stuck back there and now I'm in South Korea, hopefully the start of my permanent exile from Putnam.
