Three years ago today, my mom passed away from a thirteen-year battle with cancer. More of my memories are of silly things she would say or do or things we did together, and far less about her cancer and chemo and going bald. So, as I usualy do, I was running behind on my packing, and add in the rediculous heat yesterday (it was supposedly over 110 yesterday), I didn't really get started until much later than I wanted to. dear lord, the Man burns in 10 days! heading out to Reno this saturday, then possibly to the gate at midnight sunday!

of staying home from work. I really dislike being sick. Thought it was strep again, but the test came back negative yesterday. Still not sure if I believe the test was accurate. Ugh, more sleep now... I hope it's not swine flu, dear gods, that would be fun.

We found 3 kittens in the back yard, just a few weeks old. They seem to be ok, but there are too many ferrals around here so they need new homes. Anyone interested or have suggestions of where to take 'em?

So, I went to So Cal for my friends wedding a week ago and promptly dropped off my film to be developed the day I got home, wich was last monday. I went in to safeway today to pick up said photos and was very dissapointed. Aparently, the company thzt services my local safeway for photo develpoing has gone out of bussiness and had stopped picking up ( Read more... )

So, the other day my car was acting funny on my way to work. It decided that it no longer wanted to function properly and it never made it to Lafayette, it died about half way there... oddly enough, it was less than a block away from Nick's place.
