tony, i'm very sorry to hear about your dog....unfortunately, i cannot contribute. if he is in a lot of pain, you dont want to hear this, but sometimes putting a loved one out of its misery can be the best thing. it's hard, but if you truly cant afford it and he's in pain, it is unfortunately the most humane option.
that being said, check with your vet....lots of times they can set up financing and you can make payments. good luck and have a merry christmas, as least as much as the circumstances will afford.
