I'm so sorry Syd *huggle* I know how you feel. I really do.

Gah. That last bit made me cry. ;________;

Thanks, I guess is all I can say. I can't say I'm immune to loss, even after as many cats as I have lost in the past, that would just be heartless, but I know that they're better off and not suffering, so it gives me a little peace of mind to go with the mourning.

I've cried at all my cats' "funerals" (two of which were actual funerals held in my backyard), but never at my relatives'. Does this make me coldhearted, I wonder? Or just strange? ._.

Nope, it's not~ People are able to connect better with animals than with relatives.

She did, with the potential for pet abuse these days and the fact that people tend to want kittens over adult cats (she was five years old when we got her, after all) she managed to nuzzle her way into one of the best homes she could have had, and I'm proud to have been part of that. I may even have to catch myself when I drop by on Friday morning and remind myself I don't have to look for her anymore.

also, the posting of rainbow bridge will be the death of me. literally. last time i read it, i was so hormonally fucked up that i had a crying jag after which i could barely breathe and made me sore even through the next day.

I put it under a cut to make it an optional read, but I make it a habit to reread it with every one I lose, and all of those will go up on here from now on. It's a very sad and happy story, I know, but you don't have to read it if it's going to make you cry so badly. Thank you for your sympathies, Em.
