Friending policy, about me, & fandom goodness.
Hi there!
I'm Karen. 19. San Francisco Bay Area.
I'm supposed to be attending the University of California, Berkeley, buuuut as I am dabbling in entrepreneurship and whatnot, I've taken some time off to work for a startup company I helped build. See: CampusCred.com; similar collective buying model as industry giants like Groupon or livingsocial, but hyperlocalized to college markets to maintain relevance to our audience. Although I'm eventually going back to school, I joke about being a college dropout. Anyway, if you go to college in California (& soon to be other states!), you should sign up (for free!) for really awesome weekly deals! :)
Anyway, that's me in RL. But I tend to retreat into the internet when I need an escape, which brings me to fandom. I have way too many interests and I get super scattered, but for right now... Amy Poehler is my queen, SNL is my drug, and Parks & Rec is a never-ending ball of sunshine to top it all off.
Other TV shows I quite enjoy (in a somewhat cohesive order):
X-Files, Doctor Who, Fringe, Community, Lie to Me, Lost, Castle, Misfits, Grey's Anatomy, Modern Family, House, The Big Bang Theory, V, CSI, FlashForward, Firefly, Chuck, Glee, Bones, etc. etc.
And of course the list of shows I want to start watching is neverending as well.
I use my LJ for the following:
- 80% rambling about random shiet in my life
- 15% graphics/squeeing
- 5% ...other? I want to get into drabbles, but am trying to find timee xP
Anyway, I'll pretty much add anyone given we have some common interests and there is no convincing reason not to... I love new friends! :D Just give me a heads up!
