Summary: Aiba disliked coffee and loved mornings.

This was my attempt at writing ShiroAi that is not so much crack... ^^;; Idea of using coffee was from xamiyax ^_^

Coffee.

It was one of the few things Aiba never found interest in. While it was not listed as one of his hated foods like eggplants or mushrooms, Aiba was not really fond of it.

Yanagi used to tell him that coffee was good for one’s health. Rolling his eyes, he would try to listen and absorb everything as Yanagi enumerated the good things coffee can do for you only to forget all of them the moment they left the cafe. He could never be a coffee-holic like Yanagi.

Coffee was too bitter for his tastes. When it wasn’t too bitter, it was too creamy or too milky or too bland. Sometimes it was too hot or too cold. Aiba always found fault in coffee served to him that he opted not to bother about drinking it anymore. He would rather drink soda floats or chocolate drinks or Noni juice than coffee. The very statement always made his friends make faces at him (Noni juice?!). Aiba relished the look on their faces.

Morning.

It was the time of day Aiba looked forward to the most. He loved the feeling of being refreshed as he stretched in front of his window on a lazy morning. He loved the way the sunlight shone through the windows to his room, not too bright or too dim. When he wasn’t hurrying off to practice or filming, he would walk around his room aimlessly, settle to plop down on his couch and lazily go through his phone inbox before charging its battery and debating if he wanted to take a shower already.

Most of his friends were not morning persons. The practice hall would be fileld with grumpy boys, acting as old men led away from their intense game of shougi. They would all blink sleepily and sulk about how early the practices were, as Aiba ignored them and gleefully started his warm-ups. His co-actors would sigh as they watched him and wondered if there was still coffee in the vending machine.

---------------------------------------

Even though he had always woken up to a coffee-less morning, Aiba felt satisfied. He was probably the only one who drank Noni juice for breakfast. He thought it was alright, until he realized how mornings could be better and how coffee could taste so perfect.

It started when he met Shirota Yuu and had grown on him since then.

Aiba often crashed at Shirota’s place (apartment or his mother’s house) because his house in Chiba was too far from the practice venues. Before, he used to sleep in the living room, but as Shirota showed him affection, he slowly found Shirota’s bedroom to be quite an interesting place, and the actions that people could do in it all the more interesting.

Every weekend, he woke up a little later and without the fuss of retrieving clothes from the far recesses of the room. At that time, he was woken up by Shirota hovering near him. Aiba opened his eyes slowly and feel his lips captured in a kiss. The kiss was bitter yet sweet at the same time. Shirota usually had had his coffee by then.

He then arched into the kiss, letting his tongue wander into Shirota’s mouth. Here, only here, he relished the taste of coffee in Shirota’s mouth, as the older man deepened the kiss. He felt a hand ghosting on his nape, guiding him to tilt his head backwards so Shirota could run his tongue along his gums and palate. At that moment, he started feeling Shirota smile into the kiss as Aiba started making delicious sounds from the back of his throat.

Sweet, bitter, and sensuous. That was how coffee tasted as Aiba sampled it through Shirota’s mouth. How something he never grew fond of became so teasingly good, Aiba did not know and did not mind. All he was thinking of at that moment was how to bring Shirota closer and if Shirota would give in if he placed his leg around the older man’s waist. Smugly smiling, Aiba started his whimpers of ‘please’ and ‘Shirota’ and Shirota’s control would be gone. The following act usually had them preoccupied until around 10AM, when Shirota’s mother was banging on the bedroom door. Some kind of stupid reason would then be formulated by Shirota when his sister barged into the room, demanding what was taking her brother so long.

-----------------------------------------

“Fuji Syusuke, wake up!”

Aiba blinked away sleep and stared at the unfamiliar ceiling above him. Ah, he remembered he was in a hotel. They were temporarily staying there until the Tenimyu shows for that city have all ended.

It was a Saturday, and Aiba felt himself needing his morning coffee. He had grown too used to it, it seemed. Those lazy kisses as he lay sprawled on Shirota’s bed were missed terribly. He wished the shows would be over soon, so he could go home to Shirota and spend wonderful mornings with him.

As he shook the thoughts of his head, he remembered the incessant knocking on his door. His roommates had long left the room, so who would be waking him up this early in his day-off? Grumbling, he got up and opened the door.

“Took you a while to open it...”

Aiba stared at the tray of food, complete with coffee, and the one carrying it. Slowly, a smile crept into his face. “Shirotan...”

Shirota shook his head, stepping into the room when Aiba stood aside. “I don’t know what you mean, I’m just delivering room service.” He tried acting nonchalant as he placed the tray on the bed.

“Idiot.” Aiba said as he climbed back to bed and buried his feet under the blanket. “Does this room service include my morning coffee?”

Shirota paused from spreading butter on a piece of toast and smiled. “Of course. Actually, it’s the appetizer.”

Aiba smiled serenely as Shirota leaned towards him to give him his morning dosage of kisses.
