I hope everyone's enjoying their weekend! I know I am.

First of all, let me express my joy in the fact that the weathermen were wrong yet again. The weekend was supposed to be alternating between rainy and partly cloudy, with highs in the 60s. Yesterday, a few clouds opened up to blue skies and temperatures getting into the 70s at least. A few places did see some rain (although I did not), and the wind did get kinda brutal, but it was nice enough to get out. Today the temps had to be in the 80s. The sky was so blue and unmarked by clouds, just a blazing, burning sun. I'm not sure what the weather is reputed to be for Memorial Day, but I'm not checking since it obviously doesn't much matter what's predicted.

As I said, it was nice enough to get out yesterday. So that's what we did. I decided shortly upon waking up that I wanted to go to the Minnesota Zoo. So that's what we did. We had a lot of fun. We laughed, we enjoyed each other's company, we got outside. It was wonderful.

I brought him to the dolphin show for his first time. That dolphin show impresses me so much. Oh, and on a side note - were you aware that the Minnesota Zoo is the second largest in the US? I was impressed to learn that.

I also introduced him to the monorail that takes you around the park to see the animals below. We saw a lot of neat things, from a bald eagle to a tiger to some prairie dogs. There was a family of four in the car with us, and I wanted to beat somebody. The father was either drunk or special, the small boy was getting into everything and climbing on everything and threatening to push the emergency button. The mother would tell the child to stop, but do nothing when the kid blatantly disobeyed her. Bitches.

We also went through the Tropics set-up. It was huge and extensive and neat, with different biodomes and even a dark room set up for the nocturnal animals so you could see them awake, including a bunch of bats - it was eerie.

We were running out of time, so we ended up leaving after that. Besides, out tummies were telling us it was time - we hadn't eaten all day. So we grabbed dinner at Champps and then hit up Walmart. I got a really cute tanktop and necklace. I'm getting so into Spring!

We stopped by my folks and I weighed in at 159.5. Sigh. I seem to have come to another standstill. Although I guess I shouldn't bitch, as my poor eating habits have been high and my exercising has been low, so I should be pleased I'm still under 160. Then headed home until we went over to Sarah's around 830. I got to see Katie - she made Lib and I this little Shrek valentine thing. It was cute. :) We finally watched the last Gilmore. I'm relieved it's over. It had become a chore, almost.

Liberty and I have been getting along fabulously. I've been noticing a pattern. We've been having spectacular weekends, but it gets shitty again during the week. I really think it's the stress of work that just makes me so crabby. But now that the weather is nice and I'm getting out and enjoying myself and shedding that stress during the weekends, I'm an easier person to get along with.

Today, Lib and I hit our favorite again - good ol' Walmart. I went looking like this. Liberty encouraged me to wear the hat. I felt like a fool, but obliged. I don't ever wear hats, and I don't feel I can pull them off. Luckily, I've been getting some extra confidence in myself, and am more apt to think 'screw what everyone else thinks.' Plus, he was wearing a trucker hat from his tattoo shop (oh, and the bill is pierced), so at least I wasn't alone. We picked up a ball to play with when we went swimming, a beach towel, and some jeans. And oh my god. I fit into a size 14. I cannot for the life of me remember buying pants under 16s. I remember being a 9 in high school. But oh, was I excited. I do need break them in/lose a few more pounds before I fit into them most comfortably. But they do fit!!

Marc came over around 330. We sat around and chilled out for a while before going swimming. We went to the outdoor pool, but there was a group of 'hoodlums' and I'm lame and self-conscious so I didn't really wanna be there. But I did, since it was gorgeous out and I wanted color. We tried the indoor pool, but it was locked. WTF. We were gonna just go back to the outdoor pool, but decided to hit the beach instead. So we drove down to the beach. The water was freezing. We did have fun getting our feet numb in the water and playing with the ball. We also built/buried stuff in the sand and had sand/water wars. I shoved a handful of wet sand down the back of Lib's shorts. It was fun.

I wanted to swim, so we went back to the outdoor pool. I stuck my foot in, and much to my dismay, the water was ice cold! Ugh. Liberty and Marc both ended up jumping in, but neither were in for very long, and most of the time there was spent laying out on the beach chairs, chatting and soaking up the sun. Then our bellies started talking to us, and we went back to the apartment. Marc was a sweetheart and bought dinner for us. We got delivery from the Fucking Buffet. :) So we sat around and ate and watched The Office. Marc went home, and Lib ran out to get some munchies, then came home and we played games on the computer. He's in bed now, as he's unfortunate enough to have to work tomorrow. I should get to bed soon, I have to get up and call Saturn to see if they're open so I can pick up the tabs for my car.

I hope everyone's weekend is going as well as mine! G'nite, kids. :)
