hey, to reply to the comment you left on my page, the d40 or the d40x? (the differences are that the d40x has 10mp and can go to a lower ISO setting (100) and it's 3 fps instead of 2.5), it's a really great camera to learn on, obviously not for professional work... the only downfall i found with it is that it can only take the new digital (DX) lenses, so if you were to have older nikon lenses it wouldn't work with the body because it doesn't focus/expose properly. i would've gotten one, except that most of the lenses i wanted to use weren't digital, but still a good camera nonetheless.
