The venerable batyatoon posted an articulate and beautifully considered piece on the Chanukah vs. Christmas problem. A former co-worker at a long-past job made an effort to understand my holidays. She set up Outlook to show the Jewish holidays and made a concerted effort to wish me a Happy $HOLIDAY. This worked fine for a while. Then she sent me an email. "Happy Tisha B'Av! By the way, what's Tisha B'Av?" When I explained, she was most apologetic. She then shifted to a two-email approach with each holiday. "What's Sukkot?" "Oh, OK. Happy Sukkot!"
