What do you guys think about the Terry Shaibow (sp) case? I think pulling the plug is only bad because it will take a while before she has cardiac arrest from starvation and thirst. However, I do think its right to send her off. If I had a choice I'd inject her with some kind of poison that way she died quickly and she wouldn't have to suffer much ( Read more... )

I think euthanasia is disgusting and her husband is a perverted,
murderous pig.

And there have been signs of tremendous improvement in her health and some of her doctors are really optimistic. Terri's husband is not much of a husband anyway considering he has a girlfriend and 2 kids with that girlfriend.I think it's disgusting when man tries to play God and decide who is good enough to live. Mike Shiavo reminds me of hitler.

My two cents anyway.

Another fact is is that as Christians we are in no place to play the role of God and decide who is "good enough to live". Even if she is in a vegetable state, if we still have the ability to keep her alive then we should do it (and we do have the ability). Terri is a child of God and obviously God has kept her alive in that state for a reason and to starve the woman to death is absolutely disgusting. And then not even left her have communion ( ... )

Terry would have died way back when if they hadn't put the tube in, in the first place but they did because they thought she was going to get better but it screwed her over and her family including her sleazy husband. Plus the only thing I can say about the husband is that to him she is already dead and he probably would have remarried if she really was and I think as soon as she does he is and I know thats really wrong for him to be doing but it does make sense even if its morally wrong.

Well God gave us the medical technology and we have it to keep her alive so use it. THis is no different than abortion or any other disgusting method WHEN MANKIND THINKS THEY ARE GOD WHEN THEY ARE NOT! WHO GAVE ANYONE THE RIGHT TO SAY WHO SHOULD LIVE? it reminds me of hitler too much.

Why does her husband want her to die so bad? IS it that he is afraid she will eventually wake up and explain some things he never wanted revealed about their marriage? Maybe, I don't know. WHy does he not just divorce her and leave her to parents, why does he care so much? WHY DOES HE WANT HER TO DIE SO BAD? that is the real question.

im kind of with you on this one Jen. She has been in this vegtables like state for quite sometime now, and even though her Doctors are seeing good results, she'll never have her old life back. I know if I was in that sitcuation, and I couldnt even feed my self, or breathe on my own, or talk, I'd want someone to get me out of that kind of misery. What kind of life is that? At least Christopher Reeves could speak his mind on his own behave, Terri cannot. i'm not saying how her husband is handeling this is right, I dont think his intentions are in the right place, but, the sitcuationis quite unique. I do agree with you on the fact of giving her a quick and painless death, not one that will drag out.

I know what you mean I would never want to be put on the tube. My parents have told me and Marcos several times that if anything ever happened to them that we should do what we can to save them but never get to the point of putting in the tube because it not worth it to them and I'd want the same.

Injecting her is illegal, but I think that they should let her die. Yes, it'll probably take a while, but 15 years is a long time to lay around and do nothing. And she wanted to die so I don't think it's fair of her parents to be like "keep her alive because we want her to be alive"... she's already dead anyway.

When did terry say she wanted to die? The only person who says that she wanted to die was her disgusting husband. That s 1 witness and how credible is he? We have TWO OF HER PARENTS who say she would have rather lived. I would rather have the blood parents of the girl who they love and care about say she would rather live than the cheating, sleazy, money-stealing, husband who said she did not. You cannot have 1 witness, the bible even says that is not credible.
