A little fast paced, but lovely. I wouldn't worry about the ending if I were you. I liked it.

Excellent lines - very prequel.

I personally think it does make sense and like it just as it is. If you do decide to change anything maybe flesh it out a bit more but I think it's headed in a good direction.
