Commercial holidays... like Christmas!

I am an Australian, and as an Australian, I love any excuse for a holiday. Queen's Birthday, Adelaide Cup, Labour Day... Basically anything that falls during the week so I get the day off school. I'm not so much into Mother's Day, though. For one, everyone ALWAYS puts the apostrophe in the wrong spot.
Mother's: Belonging to mother [WRONG!!]

I too have a problem with horrible grammar...especially punctuation. Argh! Apostrophes seem to be something that people can never get the hang of...they need to teach it better at school or something! Even worse than not putting an apostrophe in for possessive, is when someone puts in an apostrophe when they DON'T need it. For example, "today I bought some egg's." Seriously, what is that? And I see it all the time.

I never do much for Mothers' day. Along with Valentine's day, it seems like just another excuse for stores to sell lots of useless stuff. :P

I never used to be fussy with it, THEN I got a History teacher with the most shocking grammar I'd ever seen. He can't even use question marks properly, i.e. writing on the board: "List the reasons for the fall of the Girondins?"
Which is so not a question.
We seem to have a lot of similar interests. Can I add you as a friend? (To add to my clearly already lengthy list...)

Of course! I love getting new friends...especially when they like a lot of things I like. ;)

Ugh, I get the question mark thing all the time on exams. When the question is "Explain blah blah blah..." they put a question mark at the end. Then when there actually SHOULD be a question mark at the end, they put a period! And a lot of teachers do it. Grrr...

Hehe, anyway, I'll go add you as a friend now! :P
