maybe he thinks you're changing based on the fact that he lives far away and there's no longer the interaction that you two had when in person.

im scared to death that ill lose you. weve been busy, thats understandable.. i feel like all i do is go to the hospital.. but its not just you i havent hungout with in a while, its been like everyone, cuz i rather go to the hospital. dont worry, you wont lose me and i wont lose you, we are to strong for that. i love ya ash.

in high school (throughout those years), you find out who your true friends are. anyone who can't understand that you have a lot of stuff going on in your life right now and don't really have time for hanging out and stuff, isn't worth it. they're just being selfish. maybe you should talk to him a little more, and find out how you were "changing," and what you can do to patch things up.

wow erin, you give really good advice lol..my mom has also told me many times that your real friends are the ones you find in highschool. well, outta all her hs friends, she is still friends with only one. i asked him how i am different.. and he cant explain it, so, i dunno. but you really do give good advice lol
