Oh, this is beautiful. The imagery is gorgeous, and the concept really interesting. (It's not a problem! It's a solution to a very serious issue, that being the great dearth of Rictor/Shatterstar fanfiction.) It makes me want to dance. Or failing that, draw Shatterstar dancing.

(By the way, the link's funky over at ricstar. You might want to fix it.)

It is a problem when you have two papers and three drawings and a sculpture and your friend is sad and you are like OH WHAT IF BOOM BOOM DRESSED RICTOR FOR A DATE BRB WRITING

Not to mention I have to finish setting up Rictor and Eli and Rogue's journals because they are really lame and awful right now. :|

Shatterstar is the most fun to draw ever! I love his stupid swishy hair and freckles.

I love Cadre culture! I think it's a lot more bright and interesting than people give it credit for.

You should definitely write more of it then. Uh-huh. :nods sagely:

But then I would have to come up with more names, and I am absolutely terrible at that! Everything I thought of was either a ridiculous compound word (guidebook, seriously), a pre-existing X-Man (Warpath, Northstar), or just awful (Leafwind, what the fuck). I think this is the only thing Liefeld is actually better at than I am.

This is so beautiful, and I love the peek inside Shatterstar's head and history, which we don't really get to see. Gorgeous and a little bittersweet. Thanks for sharing!

I promised a listmember I'd forward fic to her while she's out of the country, so just a heads-up that I've done so for this story, with your headers intact and your public email address (if any) provided so she can feedback.

Thank you! Star's head is lots and lots of fun and so is Cadre culture.
