This is gorgeous. It seems like you don't often get such beautiful fic from Shatterstar's perspective. Very well done.

I think I should point out your link from ric_star was broken. Looks like you missed out the quotation marks either side of the link but I'm not sure.

But yes. I guess Rictor is a lot easier to write for? With Star you kind of need to have the Cadre context to juxtapose against his experiences a lot of times, which is a lot more work. Plus, Rictor's patterns of speech and thought are a lot more familiar and comfortable, so. But I like Star's mind! It is interesting and different.

I just love messing around with Cadre stuff. It is so interesting and different and pretty!
