Does this look legit? I'm thinking there's no harm in running a virus scanner, but I really didn't want to subnit anything on that form just in case... I thought I'd been there since July 7th, but I haven't posted anything in a while; even then, it's with a handle, unless I forget. It's possible you have a virus or you got hit by something meant for someone else. Is that your actual IP in there? Do you have noscript and um, that other thing running on Firefox?

Either way, try it in 3 days and see what happens.

A virus? ME? Pfft, it's not like I download anything...ever...

Yeeeeeahhhh... Once I get back stateside, I'm going to look into getting decent anti-virus software on this thing...

Haha, ok... sucks, but good to know. I was like, "There's no way in hell I pissed someone off enough to get banned...mostly cuz I haven't posted something in RESPONSE to anything in God knows how long!"

As for the advise thing, I'd tried a couple of times to get some advice on a couple of projects, and I got nothing - BUT, I DID love seeing the number of tutorial links, even if they had ass-nothing to do with the original posts. I was pretty amused when they finally tagged it the Drama board. I don't think truer words have been spoken for a while...lol.

Oh man I remember when that happened to me...except I was trying to access from SLUs on campus internets and I guess some idiot did something naughty and since we all share the same IP, well yeah.... D:

my friend recently got banned for trying to post a megaupload link, and it was almost the same message (except she was banned for like 7 days or something, and it was like a megaupload spam message)

So it's prolly legit, but I wouldn't know why you'd be banned. It prolly really is cause of your Dynamic IP, and it thinking your IP is someone else.

on a side-note... I dislike CGL... I don't know any other board on 4chan that's more drama-filled ;-;
