Very first comment is mine??!? and I don't have anything particularly interesting to say. Figures.

This chapter was, well, at least eleven times better than any corresponding chapter in another unnamed "book". Your characters have depth! I want them to be happy (or the alien equivalent) and not die in a fire!

That was really sweet, in a very strange and slimey way. I love the character development going on here. Love it Love it Love it!

The "Awwwwwwwww" and the "OMG ELEVEN TIMES!!!" emotions at this chapter are at war in my spleen and it makes my larynx feel funny. I do not know what to do!
