My comment was in response to the idiot character's lack of even the slightest notion of self preservation. I wasn't sure from your response if I left you with the impression that I was directing my comment to you or your idea of critiquing/parodying the book. Honestly, if a cop found the items this jackalope buys in the trunk of a car they'd call it a 'rape kit'. There are fascinating stories and talented authors just dying to be published and this is what is making the news...*sigh*
Sorry, but I just don't think I can do it to myself, though I'd love to read the book club's thoughts as you go. Can I do that, be a passive bookclubber without reading the actual book?
I truly admire your courage and commitment to your art.
See now I felt this way about the Hunger Games trilogy, which I did read. Great idea, terrible execution (IMHO). I wish to partake in your book club. :]
I actually felt Hunger Games was very well written, granted, I could only read the first book because it stressed me out too much. I do not do the whole "perpetually trapped with imminent death looming around every corner" thing very well!

I vote, that if you write a Xlormp version, the first chapter take place in a restroom, what with all the flushing and awkwardness.
