I stood there on the high dive shivering with knees knocking. Everyone made it look so easy. You just point and raise your arms above your head together, bend over, and go off the diving board. Even the little kids younger than me could do this

I can relate to this because I personally do not like being in water at all unless it's a pool (but not a public pool tbh). You really captured the emotions in this wonderfully because I could feel your fear reading this! *hugs*

Phobias are such a hard, hard thing to overcome. But I admire you for wanting to make sure you don't pass it on to your son. And, well, if you ever need to jump into water, feet first is always, always a good option!

Strangely I can jump into a pool just fine as long as it's feet first including off a diving board!
