Donghae woke up with a stiff neck as he found himself still sitting on the couch. He looked out the window and saw daylight; he had slept through the night.
He raised his arms into the air and stretched his muscles; the only sounds coming from his apartment were the occasional cracking from his loosening joints. He was about to stand up when he noticed a book on his coffee table, the book that started this whole mess.
He picked it up. The very old, very expensive version of Romeo and Juliet that Eunhyuk had purchased for him. In all honesty it was a sweet gesture, one that probably shouldn't have made Donghae feel like shit, yet it had.
Donghae ran his finger down the spine, admiring the engraved detail etched into it. Much thought and love had been put into making the book and that fact only made Donghae feel worse.
He randomly opened the book and saw how the paper was neatly preserved and cared for, it only sickened Donghae more.
He let his eyes scroll down the page, landing on some random paragraph; he read out loud words written from William Shakespeare's most famous play
"...I have lost myself; I am not here..."
Donghae scoffed, rolling his eyes and flipping to another random page
"Is love a tender thing? It is too rough,
too rude, too boisterous, and it pricks like thorn"
He sighed, flipping to yet another page
"Farewell! God knows when we shall meet again..."
Donghae laughed and flipped to the last pages
"And then he drinks poison and she stabs herself. How does Kibum read this stuff?" he said placing the book back down on the table. He closed his eyes and inhaled, his mind flooding with images of Eunhyuk giving him the book.
"I need a shower" Donghae proclaimed to the empty apartment and stood up, all stiff and sore, making his way to the bathroom.

Sungmin wakes up to the feel of Kyuhyun beside him, the memories of last night rushing into his head. He had done it, he had finally told Kyuhyun about his past.
As much as Sungmin didn't want it, a surge of fear overwhelms his body. What if Kyuhyun doesn't want me anymore? What if he thinks I'm disgusting? What if he doesn't love me anymore? All these questions and more plaque his mind, he had told Kyuhyun to go to sleep so he didn't have to hear what Kyuhyun thought.
And now lying beside Kyuhyun with all his thoughts and fears rushing around his body Sungmin wanted to run.
And so he did.
He climbed out of bed as quietly as possible, grabbed a coat and his keys and left their apartment.

Donghae had gotten dressed and was wondering aimlessly around his apartment. He walked into the kitchen with no intention of eating anything, he wasn't even hungry. He ran his finger over every surface within reach, discovering that there was no dust. He hadn't been home in months and somehow, like always, there was never any dust. Donghae chalked it up to some form of miracle he wasn't supposed to understand and walked into his living room.
He was about to turn on the television, after he remembered where he left the remote months ago, when the door bell rang.
He resigned remembering the whereabouts of the remote and went to open the door. And to his shock--even though only Sungmin and Kyuhyun knew about his apartment--he found Sungmin standing outside of his door.
"Hello" Sungmin said
"Uhh...Hello?" Donghae answered back confused.
"Are you going to let me into your home?" Sungmin asked with an amused look on his face.
"Yeah" Donghae said, moving aside "Come in"
"Thanks" Sungmin mumbled as he stepped into the quite large apartment.
"What a shame that you don't stay here too often" Sungmin continued as he studied the seemingly abandoned yet fully furnished apartment.
"I guess" Donghae said looking around. He had insisted that the place was too big for just him but Sungmin was adamant he lived there.
"What are you doing here?" Donghae asked, not being rude or even polite, he just asked it out of curiosity. After what happened last night he hadn't expected to see Sungmin for a few days.
"I just wanted to check up on you" Sungmin said
Donghae only felt comfortable burdening people with his presence when they got something in return. And he never liked burdening Sungmin because Sungmin never got anything in return. With Kyuhyun, Donghae hocked people to his drug, therefore making Kyuhyun money. But with Sungmin it was different. There wasn't anything Donghae could give Sungmin to repay him. So he hated burdening Sungmin the most.
"You didn't have to do that" Donghae said quietly, feeling a little bit worse about himself.
Sungmin noticed the hint of sadness flash in Donghae's eyes, making his feel bad. He hadn't come to Donghae's apartment to check on Donghae. Well he did want to check on Donghae but mostly he wanted to avoid Kyuhyun.
"I'm sorry" Sungmin said
"For what?" Donghae asked
"I lied to you" Sungmin admitted "I didn't come here to check up on you"
"Then why did you come?" Donghae asked out of curiosity.
"I'm hiding"
"Who could you possibly be hiding from?"
"Kyuhyun" Sungmin admitted
"Why are you hiding from Kyuhyun?" Donghae asked, genuinely confused. Kyuhyun would never do anything to Sungmin, so why was Sungmin hiding from Kyuhyun?
"I told Kyuhyun about my past" Sungmin said and Donghae instantly understood.
"You're afraid of what he thinks" Donghae stated wisely.
Sungmin scoffed "You're too smart for someone your age"
Donghae just halfheartedly smiled at Sungmin "You know you're being ridiculous don't you? Kyuhyun love you and he would never leave you because of your past" Donghae said
Sungmin looked at Donghae and smiled, truly touched by the younger's words "Let's watch TV" Sungmin said walking into the living room.
Before Donghae could even tell Sungmin he had no idea where his remote was Sungmin had the contraption in his hand and was already flipping through the channels. Donghae chalked it up to another one of those miracles he wasn't supposed to understand and went to sit down next to Sungmin on the couch.

Kyuhyun woke up to an empty bed, thinking that Sungmin had already woken up before him--like he did every morning--Kyuhyun crawled out of bed. He searched all around the apartment, he even called out for Sungmin but Sungmin was nowhere to be found.
There was only one conclusion.
Sungmin had made a run for it.
Kyuhyun grabbed his phone off of his nightstand and dialed Sungmin's number. But Sungmin didn't pick up.
He tried again and again, every time only reaching Sungmin's voicemail.
He left simple messages like "Call me" "Where are you?" and "I love you"
In total he had called Sungmin 17 times in a period of 8 minutes. He thought maybe Sungmin just needed some space after having to relive his horrible past.
So he picked up his phone and sent one text message.
***
Donghae had sat there and watched as Sungmin ignored every single phone call he recieved. He knew the person calling was Kyuhyun, the look on Sungmin's face every time he pressed the ignore call button gave it away.
Donghae had lost count of how many calls were ignored after the first 9.
"Why don't you just answer it" Donghae suggested when he saw the uncertainty on Sungmin's face.
"I can't" Sungmin admitted as he pressed yet another ignore call button.
Donghae just nodded. And then the phone calls stopped and Sungmin looked a little nervous, scared even.
A good 4 minutes or more passed before a single beep could be heard coming from Sungmin's phone. It was a text message.
"I'll give you time because I know you need it, but you're not running away from me are you?" Sungmin read the text.
His heart wouldn't allow him to not reply so he quickly texted back
"I love you...and I would never leave you" he sent the message and felt like an idiot for running in the first place. But he still couldn't get himself to go back, at least not yet.
A/N: I am so sorry that I disapeared for so long. And that this chapter is kind of crap, I wrote it really fast. I'm about to pass out from exhaustion so I'm going to sleep now. GOOD NIGHT!...actually it's morning here :( oh well, that's what happens when you go on an impromptu vacation.
