Being that I am deathly afraid of needles, signing up to donate blood was quite a big deal for me. I was all ready, although I was very nervous, went down there, filled out all of the paper work, got poked in the finger (it hurt!) and everything. THEN...when they were looking for veins they couldn't find a good one,  my veins suck. (I told you so

that "people change"/ they find out who they are thing makes plenty of sense to me as well :)
