hmm yours is really interesting, the simile really helped, i dont think i ever would have found that... And when you said 'my guess is you like someone and this song makes you think of them' well, i like this song, but this song doesnt make me think or anyone. And the fish bowl part is referring to one of their former band members, Syd Barrett, who they forced out of the band becuase he was experimenting with drugs and needed mental help. This site said the the beggining, lines 2-12?? were about the person's absence of his better self, that he has become too meglomanaiacal(whatever that means) and wishes to make a quick return to his older, better self. But what you think the song is about is really interesting, and thanks a lot for the help(:

megalomania is like..hmm..its a condition where you have delusional fantasies of power, and wealth. So its pretty much an obsession with great or extravagant things.
Schizophrenia? Apostrophe is a grammatical mark '. But apostrophe also means an adress to an imaginary or absent person. So it could go either way I suppose.
i did poetry at the beginning of the year so i dont remember the names that well but i really know what im talking about.. i'm not sure on what its clled but when it says "Heaven from hell? Blue skies from pain? Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil?" its the thing where you talk about opposites for emphasis. this is pissing me off i wish i remembered the name but i threw away the little poetry booklet..... so i hope i helped somehow...
