certainly makes me feel that i should be more generous in general.

Well, I'd like to buy a film studio. Or some fashion brand. That's why I put megalomania as one of my interests :-)
I'd like to buy the museum of history in one of the shabby towns I know. I'd like to buy a town.
But if about something realistic, I'd like to buy some good book on the history of the Byzantine Empire. And some posh velvet black dress.
I think money can buy almost everything. Love is pretty easy to buy, for instance. Just depends whose love. No Joan of Arc's love, but still. It's more difficult with health, I suppose.

to a big extent, you can buy health. i'd like to live forever though. you can't buy that yet.
