Title: Yellow feelings
Pairings: Eunhae, Kyuteuk, Hanchul
Rating: PG-13 for kissing
Genre: fluff
A/n: Three short stories, different pairing each one.
Yellow like falling leaves. (Eunhae)
Yellow can be a sad colour, Donghae thinks, sitting on a bench and watching yellow leaves fall from his favourite tree in the park, the one which they always used to climb with Eunhyuk when they still had time, when there was no Super Junior M, when they were a little bit younger, a little more carefree, and perhaps a little bit childish.
Donghae thinks he liked being childish and now, when he has to act all mature, the world suddenly doesn't seem as funny and even yellow isn't happy and shiny and warm anymore.
It's difficult. Eunhyuk is his best friend, but there weren't many occasions for them to meet during this year. And suddenly it seems like Eunhyuk has more in common with Leeteuk. They share some funny words Donghae doesn't understand, they laugh at the strangest things and when Donghae just stares at them, they are all like, "oh, you know, there was this time when..." and Donghae has to listen to another of their funny stories, in which they're both happy and together and there's no place for anyone else.
But that's not what hurts him most. He remembers that evening, three days ago, when Eunhyuk came up to him, smiled at him and told him, "You've changed. You're so calm now... so different, really"
It really hurts because Donghae doesn't think he's changed. He thinks everything's changed when he wasn't around and it's unfair, so unfair, because he would like to laugh and smile and fool around but he doesn't know how. He came back home, but the home is not there anymore.
He watches the leaves falling, feeling more and more sad with each second when suddenly, he feels someone embracing him from behind. He turns around and sees Eunhyuk's grinning face, but before he has a chance to say anything, Eunhyuk pulls him down off the bench and they roll on the ground in the orange and yellow leaves, laughing. Finally Eunhyuk rolls on top of Donghae, pinning him down and they both stop moving. They just look at each other, breathing heavily and Eunhyuk smiles at Donghae and Donghae smiles back and suddenly he notices a yellow leaf in Eunhyuk's hair and he laughs because it doesn't look sad at all. He just can't stop laughing and Eunhyuk gives him a weird look.
"And here I thought you actually grew up" he grins down at him and Donghae feels warm inside because he didn't grow up and he doesn't feel like it, not at all.
"Let's climb the tree!" he says and Eunhyuk is looking, looking at him, something changing in his eyes, and suddenly he hugs Donghae tightly and buries his face in his arm and his shoulders shake a little.
Donghae wraps his arms around his friend's back, almost drowning in the warmth of his body.
He thinks they both finally came back home.
Yellow like sunflowers. (Kyuteuk)
"I want to paint the kitchen yellow" Leeteuk announces one morning, and then chaos ensues.
They don't care it's one of their rare free days and they probably should be resting or meeting their friends, parents and girlfriends. They don't care because they're just like that; a possibility to create chaos together is what makes them most happy.
"I'm not climbing the ladder!" Heechul says and he immediately gets his nose painted yellow by Donghae and everyone laughs because he looks just too cute. And it's not like there are no volunteers to climb the ladder; Eunhyuk happily goes up and starts painting the ceiling, laughing when he accidentally spills some paint on Kibum's head.
They all decide to impress their hands on one of the walls in a different colour; it's supposed to be blue but of course it comes out green and they laugh because it looks cool anyway.
When they're finished it doesn't look perfect but the frown on leader's face quickly disappears when he notices just how dirty his friends are. He laughs and laughs, especially at Kibum's face, covered in little yellow paint drops.
"I'm bathing first!" Heechul shouts and runs to the bathroom, followed by Sungmin and Ryeowook who apparently think them washing first is a better idea.
"Are they crazy?" Donghae complains before being tackled by Eunhyuk who tells him he doesn't want him to wash because yellow suits him so much. Everyone runs to the bathroom room, making up evil ways to make Heechul finish faster than in two hours and finally, only Kyuhyun and Leeteuk are left in the kitchen. They smile at each other when the sun shines through the window, making the room look even brighter.
"We should fix it a little here and there" Leeteuk says, as he picks up the brush. "There are some white spots in the corners..." he pouts, examining the wall.
Kyuhyun walks up to him and embraces him from behind, making them both even dirtier.
"There's no need to." he whispers in leader's ear. "I think it's perfect."
Leeteuk laughs, turning around in his arms and looking up at him. He's immediately hugged closer and he breathes his lover's scent, closing his eyes. It feels so nice.
"Really?" he asks softly, feeling all warm and fuzzy.
"Absolutely." Kyuhyun pulls away a little to look at his pretty, pretty leader and is rewarded with the cutest smiling dimple in the whole world and a spark in those pretty, pretty eyes. "So, why yellow?"
Leeteuk thinks for a second, gently brushing Kyuhyun's arms with his fingertips.
"It's such a happy colour." he says, smiling softly. "Like sunshine. And sunflowers. I love sunflowers."
Kyuhyun laughs and Leeteuk thinks he likes his laugh even more.
"Me too. They remind me of you."
Teuk suddenly feels like melting into his lover's arms, but instead he kisses him and it really feels like sunshine.
Yellow is for jealousy. (Hanchul)
Yellow is, Heechul thinks, a colour of jealousy. He has read lots of girl magazines, and every single one said that buying yellow flowers means being jealous.
So why the hell is Hangeng always putting yellow flowers in their kitchen vase? Being a very straightforward person, Heechul decides to simply ask his friend about that.
"Why the hell are you always putting yellow flowers in our kitchen vase?"
Hangeng looks up from his dinner plate, surprised.
"Well... the vase is blue so it looks nice?" he says, rising his eyebrows.
"Oh." Heechul looks disappointed. "I thought you were jealous." he grins walking over to his friend and wrapping his arms around him. "Aren't you~~?"
Hangeng just smiles.
"Why would I be? You wouldn't be able to survive a single day without me."
Heechul snorts.
"Oh really."
"Really. You'd starve to death."
The black haired man pouts, backing away.
"I didn't know you were capable of being a cold jerk. And here I was trying so hard to pretend to be cute."
"Well, okay." Hangeng grins at him. "Next time I'll buy red ones."
"Why is that?"
"Don't you know?" he reaches for Heechul's hand and gives it a gentle squeeze.
"Red is a colour of love."
