I went through the EXACT same thing in April last year. It was the worst experience of my life. My pappy was probably one of the most amazing people I will ever know. He was always friendly and joyous, and he had a character all his own. He knew EVERYBODY in town, and there was a line that went out the door at his viewing; the place was packed. He taught me a lot about how to live my life, how to have fun. Seeing him pass left a huge hole in my family; nothing is the same without him. My pappy was also in his eighties, 81 to be exact. I knew he lived a long life, but I always think that there must have been so much more to him, so much more to his life, so many more stories he had that I just never uncovered.
Never have I laughed so hard or been so impacted by old black and white pictures. My pap had a 1940s sort of cavalier and my gram was beautiful. Yes, yes, yes!! I went through the exact same thing. The funny thing is, my pappy used to do what my friends and I do: have photoshoots. It made me so happy to see those pictures, all
