Tracy's brain is swelling. Occasionnaly she will override the machine and take a breathe on her own, but tests have confirmed that she is braindead. As of now she's on a respirator. The doctors told her family that after about 7-11 days her chances of coming to are very slim, so they've agreed to wait 7-11 days before pulling the plug

This is literally making me physically sick. Even from the first article the media seems to be portraying this as a 'whatever, not too big a deal' case and it's disgusting. I dont even know what to do or what to say right now, it's just not right. There's just no justice in the world if a killer can just do these sort of things throw around some excuses and convince people he's not so bad.... when at home there's innocent children that will be traumitzed for life because of the pure evilness this bastard exerted. Ugh. *hugs* Steph, I dont mean to rant... I know you'd obviously be 100X more mad and thus need comforting not someone agreeing with you, but I dont know what to say. I just agree... it just goes to show how horrid people can be. If he just gets off with this I will lose ALL faith whatsoever in the system. My heart goes out to you guys. Thanks for writing hun, its really means a lot. I've been sort of hurt that no one has ben commenting because it IS such an outrage. It is sickening to know that this awful evil man will be walking the streets in a few years. What upsets me the most is the children. They might be split up, the two older ones go the their father, but I'm not sure where the younger one will go, since his father was the killer. The family is going to get the kids a bunch of gift certificates, their school vacation is next week and we're going to try to keep them busy as all of this is going on. It's been said that their family will stand by the accident theory, unless Tracy dies, then the shit will hit the fan

I haven't really commented because I don't really know what to say, but since I don't really talk to you otherwise, so I just want to tell you how sorry, shocked, and upset I felt about that. That's disgusting that he could get off for insanity. Don't most killers have some trace of insanity if they can do such things? Anyways, I know it's a very long shot, but I really hope she makes it through. Let me know what happenes. I'm sure you already have plenty of people around you, but I'm usually around weekends and any day after 4:30, and I'm here if needed.

thank you for your support, I appreciate it. I'm okay, it just makes me so mad. It's all very overwhelming. I'm pretty sure he'll get some sort of sentence because of how serious her injuries were. And I'm sure, if she passes on, that her mother is going to pursue the case further and stuff. that's a little comforting.

We should hang out sometime, I'm usually free, I just have to know in advance so I can get homework done and such.
