a sad mockery we, as humans, make for ourselves when deeming the idea of 'fate' as something on which to rely. the problem comes into play with those who simply don't wish for the responsibility of controlling a life, their own included. just because they never really try for anything, does this automatically define those events in their lives as fate? to them, it's quite obvious. after all, they never take into consideration that perhaps their lives were caught up in someone else's fight to make something of themselves. it's not easy, when you've been raised to rely on people, to simply wake up and take control. life is much easier when predestined. why worry? as it will, so it will, and why try
