Q: What can I claim?
A: Anything X-Men related! You could claim a certain era in the comics, a movie, one of the cartoons, a pairing, a character, a team, a place, a crossover, etc!

I just stumbled upon this community and I'm really interested in joining. I wrote some HP fan fiction a few years back, but it's been a while and I've never done a challenge like this.

So a few dumb questions...

To make a claim, do I just say I'm going to be writing New X-Men or a certain pairing, and then I stick to that "claim" for the whole table? (yeah, told you this was a dumb question)

Also, they can be short pieces, right? When I did HP stuff it tended to get out of control in length. I don't want to repeat that again. I'd like to use this as a way to flex my writing muscles but not get distracted from original stuff. The user info says at least 100 words...so a little 150, 200 word piece would be cool?

Thank you SO much for joining, and nothing is a dumb question... its better to ask then to just assume.

When you claim say Dust (Sooraya Qadir) then each fanfic you write it must feature her in the story... she doesn't have to the main character, but she should be one of the main characters in it.
If you choose like a pairing the same thing applies, they don't have to be the main pairing or anything but both characters should be the main characters in the story. If they happen to be with two different people or are just friends in the story then thats fine.

They can be as short as you wish them to be (as long as its at least 100 words) 101 or 150 or 200 is good and they can be as long as 2000 or whatever. Doesn't really matter to me. ;D

Do you have to write the prompt fics in order from 1 - 15 or can you skip around?
