The Trivia:

Saturday's Answer: Moira MacTaggert. We all miss Moira.

Today's Question: What Canadian agency ran the Weapon X program?

The Sue:

I dedicate this Sue to varyar. I'm gonna miss you, pal. You're gonna have an aneurism when you get a load of today's Sue.

Good fighter, picking locks, sneaking around, spying.

Oh, look! It's a mutant version of Sydney Bristow! [gasp!]

Though, she isn't really good at sneaking around and spying. Since she got CAUGHT when she was doing her thang in the X-Mansion.

Trivia: Department H, I guess. Go evil Canadians!

I'm a big Avalanche fan (comicverse). I like Lance fine, but am tired of him spreading into every other X-Men genre like some kind of insidious disease...the worst examples are when people write comicfic and call Av "Lance Alvers" instead of "Dominic Petros"...

...

Any bio in which half the space is taken up by describing the character's "outfits"...

And who the hell would wear baggy camo pants and Mary Janes?

Its sad that you can easily tell who is an Evo fan by the simple fact they call Avalanche "Lance".
But, here's where I get utterly confused. It's obvious she watches evo... yet she blatantly flogs Magma's powers (but makes them look so much sexier, what with the funky eyes the colour of flowing lava *rolls eyes*) Does this mean she saw Magma and thought "ick, those powers would be so cool if she didn't look like a candy cane" or she just hasn't bothered watching more than the first few episodes?

Or did she just think that because she was writing movie fiction no one would know who Magma was? *shoots author* Wrong sweetheart.

I choose that answer, Alex.

She sounds like a hardcore Evo fan, judging by the bio and the past fic she's written. She can't claim ignorance. I only watched the first season of Evolution and I know she was on the series. I don't know exactly when Amara showed up, just that she did. They were calling her by the other name and she was British - oh, thank you, idiotic comic retcon. I'm not even a fan of the character and it irritates the shit out of me to see her powers stripped away and plastered onto Sue ( ... )

She showed up with Iceman (who joined after Kurt, Kitty, "Spyke" and Rogue. Wish someone had bothered to point out that Bobby was one of the original 5 before they went into production with that show) Boom-Boom, Sunspot, Cannonball, Multiple, Jubilee and Wolfsbane. Most of whom were, as much as I like the show, butchered beyond all reason. Bobby's hair was teh gay, Jubilee had really long hair for some odd reason and grew a fetish for cardigans, Rahne looked scary and there are no words for Magma.
To let you in on my pain Magama's comic name is Alison, but instead they merged two names she used as alias' (Amara Juliana, Olivia Aquilla) together to get Amara Aquilla. Amara. Aquilla. *shudders*
I don't think she was british though.

and what's this about "well-developed" - I don't call a long winded profile developed, I name that one "Sue-Author in denial."

I'm very familiar with Amara/Magma and her story in the comics. I'm a huge New Mutants fangirl, I just never cared for her as a character. varyar is her total fanboy, which means I know every damn thing there is to know about her, whether I want to know it or not. ;) I know she was made English in the comic, after that dumbass retcon about Nova Roma, because she was all with the English accent when she showed up in X-Force #87 with the New Hellions.

You'll notice that the Boom Boom #1 Fangirl pretended like she didn't read that bit about Tabitha being on Evolution? Moving right along ...

Wasn't it nice of everyone to put their powers on display for her, like some sort of circus sideshow? Somehow I have a hard time seeing Logan doing anything like that. Crazy of me, I know...

So is anyone taking bets on how many chapters it will be before Sue is getting it on with Kurt? Oh, and am I to assume from the line -"Shouldn't they know what you really look like, Kurt?"- that this is Evolution Kurt?

One of the (many) things that bugs me about people trying to merge Evo-verse with movie-verse - morphing the already established movie-verse characters into their Evo counterparts, such as Nightcrawler here.

You know, the thing that bugged me most about it was that I recognized what she was getting at. In situations like this, I almost prefer to be out of the loop.
